The Fast Track team has informed Guardians of the Bays (GOTB) we can comment on the Fast Track application of the Wellington International Airport Southern Seawall Renewal Project . We have till the 10 March 2026 to comment.
Some key facts are that there will be three construction yards, and the construction site on the southern sea wall. Wellington Airport estimate the renewal project will take 6 to 8 year with the main seawall construction taking 24 to 30 months.
We are contacting other organisations to see if we can support one another in our comments on this development.
