Further information (and there is a lot of information) can be found on the substantive application documents.
On the 14 November 2025 the application was deemed complete by the Environmental Protection Authority and that it complied with the requirements of section 46(2) of the Fast-Track Approvals Act 2024.
At this stage a Panel Convenor will establish an expert panel to consider the application. It will be up to the expert consenting panel to determine who should be invited to comment on the application as per the Act. Panels are independent of any of the administering agencies who are involved in the Fast-track process, including the Ministry for the Environment.
We have asked a number of questions regarding the Panel Convenor and Panels names, time-frames and if we can comment on the application.
