He Pou a Rangi, the Climate Change Commission, are consulting from 8 April to 31 May 2024 on the discussion document into whether emissions from international shipping and aviation should be included in the emissions reduction target.
The results of the consultation will inform the Commission’s upcoming advice to the Government – due by the end of this year – about the emissions target and budgets. That advice will inform Government decisions – due by the end of next year – that will set the pace for climate policy for decades.
On Thursday 18 April and Tuesday 21 May, the Climate Change Commission are holding public webinars where you can learn about the work we are consulting on and ask questions.
