Guardians of the Bays Annual General Meeting will be:

• On Wednesday 15 May at 7.30pm
• At the Strathmore Park Community Centre – Te Tūhunga Rau
• Location 108 Strathmore Ave, Strathmore Park
• Vehicle entrance is below the building with parking at the rear or on the street
• The AGM will be held both at Te Tūhunga Rau and virtually via a Zoom link (to be sent out to Members closer to the time).

Te Tūhunga Rau is a lovely, upgraded building that is warm, inviting and worth a visit if you haven’t been there already.

An agenda and further information will be sent out later in the month.

Remember you need to be a member of Guardians of the Bays to vote at the AGM. Just fill in the ‘Want to become a Guardian’ on the from page of our webpage.

One Agenda item will be a vote, due to 2023 legislative changes, on re-registering, or not, of Guardians of the Bays as an incorporated society. Once we make this vote, we will work on making changes to our constitution (society rules) which will be voted on at next year’s AGM and submitted to the Incorporated Societies, New Zealand Companies Office by April 2026.

We are always on the lookout for new committee members to help make sure our voice is heard by Wellington Airport and those that make legislative and plan changes. It would also be good to have help and discussions on changes to our constitution.
